Myryad Launch the New MX Series ...

At the heart of the brilliant new MX Series is a totally modular approach to amplifier design, to cater for the increasingly ‘channel specific’ demands of the growing custom installation market.
Meanwhile, as you would expect from Myryad, the sonic performance of the
MX Series is exceeded only by the breathtaking stylishness of its industrial design and the luxurious appeal of its build quality.
MX Series, the new ‘premium’ product group from Myryad, representing:
- world-class performance
- stunning aesthetics
- exceptional ease of use - thanks to intuitive controls and the sophistication
of Myryad’s ‘Smart My-Link®
- outstanding value for money
Intelligent engineering remains the key to Myryad's outstanding performance.
Multiple separately-regulated power supplies (up to 14 in the case of the
MXC6000 CD Player) ensure that all low-level circuits deliver clean and accurate output, and straightforward signal paths reduce hum and noise, while Myryad's advanced DC5* circuit configuration increases speed and lowers distortion, controlling speaker drive units with unrivalled ease.
Meanwhile, Myryad's in-built Smart My-Link® communications protocol exemplifies the thoughtful operational touches of the MX Series design; the Smart My-Link® connector on each piece forms a seamless link between as many pieces as needed - all non-visible units may be controlled through any visible unit.
We used to say all this was available at the touch of a button - but we've even relieved users of that task now. Brush the touch-sensitive standby ellipse of any MX Series piece and all linked pieces respond instantaneously. No moving parts. Just moving sensations.
Through their thoughtful design and intuitive handling, all MX Series models are exceptionally easy to use; through their Smart My-Link® communications protocol they are satisfyingly easy to control and despite their superb specification and luxurious build quality, they are tantalisingly affordable to acquire.
The new MX Series is made up of the following components:-
-
MXC6000 CD Player
- MXV3000 DVD Player
- MXT2000 AM/FM Tuner
- MXP2000 Stereo Preamplifier
- MXD6000 Digital Preamplifier
- MX12080 Integrated Amplifier
- MX12150 Integrated Amplifier
- MXA2080 Power Amplifier
- MXA0151 Power Amplifier
- MXA7150 Power Amplifier
MX-Series Modular Construction:
For maximum user convenience, the MX-Series Power Amplifiers have been designed in a modular format so they can be used in any permutation required:

- Up to 7 modules may be installed in one chassis, in any combination of 1 x 150watt and 2 x 80watt modules, so one fully loaded chassis can deliver 7 x 150watt or 14 x 80watt or any permutation between.
- Five separately-regulated power supplies for each amplifier channel ensure that all low level circuitry has clean, low-noise power, carefully isolated from the output stages.high output current design, supported by generously rated output transistors and reservoir capacitors and massive (2.85kg) toroidal transformers in each module, ensures smooth effortless and refined delivery of power.
- Each 80watt channel uses two 150watt bipolar output transistors for robust, high current capability, and 14,000uF of reservoir capacitors for dynamic power reserves. Each 150watt module uses four 150watt bipolar output transistors and 20,000uF of reservoir capacitors.
- Each 150watt module uses Vishay bulk-foil and 0.1% tolerance feedback resistors for open, transparent and natural sound.
- Each module has its own processor to monitor temperature, output current and output DC; any deviation triggers isolation of its loudspeaker output and a status indication from the relevant front panel LED.
- Each module is fitted with a “line-out” connector allowing it to be ‘daisy-chained’ for bi-amping, tri-amping or multi-room applications.
- A sequenced switch-on system ensures a smooth and silent power-up from standby, even when a full seven modules are installed.
- All amplifiers are fully upgradeable – more modules can be added as needed, after purchase.
- For the ecologically-minded, standby power consumption is less than 1 watt in total, whatever the number of modules fitted.
